Bandhavgarh National Park

Bandhavgarh National Park, nestled in Madhya Pradesh, is one of India’s top wildlife destinations and is world-renowned for its dense population of Royal Bengal Tigers—making it the ideal location for thrilling tiger safaris. The park spans over 450 square kilometers of lush forests, meadows, and historic sites, and is divided into three core safari zones: Tala, Magadhi, and Khitauli. Bandhavgarh boasts over 47 species of mammals, 250+ species of birds, more than 100 butterfly varieties, and 16 types of snakes. Along with tigers, common wildlife sightings include leopards, sloth bears, gaur, sambar and chital deer, jackals, wild boar, striped hyena, chousingha (four-horned antelope), and rich birdlife like egrets, kingfishers, Egyptian vultures, and peafowl.

In addition to the wildlife adventure, the park’s cultural and natural attractions enrich every visit. Tourists can explore the ancient Bandhavgarh Fort, marvel at the Sesh Shaiya reclining Vishnu statue, visit archaeological caves, and enjoy scenic spots such as Baghel Museum, Mahaman Pond, and the marshy Rajbahera meadows renowned for birdwatching.
